For those couples who prefer an outdoor setting for their wedding, the Barn Lawn at Oak Hill offers an exceptional backdrop for your guests as they enjoy a view of our one-acre pond and forested hills. The Barn Lawn seats up to 250 guests.
THE FIREPIT
Our stone firepit is just a few steps from the Pavilion and is a favorite among guests. Our firepit is adorned with a charming arbor entwined with lush hanging plants and delicate string lights. Couples often feature s’mores – we provide the roasting sticks – or create a cigar & whisky bar with our design pieces. This enchanting outdoor space becomes a focal point, radiating warmth and creating an intimate and inviting atmosphere for celebration.
VINTAGE CAR, TRUCK & CARRIAGE
Embrace timeless elegance by incorporating a horse-drawn carriage or an antique car into your wedding celebration. Whether you opt for the graceful charm of a carriage or the vintage allure of an antique car, both choices add a touch of romance and sophistication to your special day. During the cocktail hour, the vintage truck, another 1931 Ford Model A, is a crowd favorite for dispensing signature drinks or serving specialty foods from its rear end.
WOODLAND FOREST
Nestled at the base of the Schoolhouse’s meandering paths, Oak Hill Farm’s latest ceremony site unfolds in a secluded setting amidst a flourishing walnut tree forest. Enhanced by a captivating canopy of string lights and framed by majestic tall pines, this location exudes a truly spectacular ambiance.
THE BARN
Discover the unforgettable charm of the Barn at Oak Hill. The original 1891 hay barn at Oak Hill has been restored with elegantly appointed changing rooms & restrooms that serve as dressing quarters for either partner and the wedding party. The main living area is a perfect gathering place for your family and wedding party to relax before the ceremony and is also used extensively for photographs. Intimate gatherings of up to 25 guests can be hosted in the Barn as well. The lawn of the Barn is popular for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hour.
COUNTRY STORE
The re-created 19th century Country Store makes a memorable backdrop to capture a moment in time. Candy and popcorn are most popular in this space but other features such as ice cream, donuts & cider, root beer floats and favors are often found here.
THE CHAPEL AT OAK HILL
The Chapel at Oak Hill is an exquisite 1860’s treasure, completely restored to its original condition but with modern amenities such as heat, A/C and a sound system. For added charm, allow us to transport you to and from your ceremony via our 1931 Ford Model A or horse-drawn carriage.
St. John’s was built in Guilford Township, about 14 miles from Oak Hill Farm, by German immigrants on land purchased for $10. Completed in 1868 and dedicated on September 18, 1870, the building offered its first wedding on June 2, 1874. Services were delivered in German until 1928 and after nearly a century, regular services ended in 1969, after which the church was rarely used.
St. John’s was moved to Oak Hill on September 18, 1996, 126 years to the day of its original dedication date. The first wedding at Oak Hill was my own on June 27, 1998. We started the business in 2000 and have hosted close to a thousand weddings since then! We would love to share with you the unique and memorable experience of Oak Hill Farm.
PAVILION
Unveiled in June 2020, The Pavilion stands as a testament to elegance, featuring 4800 square feet of meticulously crafted post and beam construction. Bathed in natural light from expansive windows on both the east and west sides, and adorned with a soaring 25-foot ceiling, this venue creates a captivating atmosphere. String lights and chandeliers gracefully embellish the all-white, barn-like setting, providing a stylish backdrop capable of accommodating groups of up to 250 guests.
The versatility of The Pavilion is highlighted by its window walls, which can be rolled up to offer breathtaking 360-degree views or closed to shield against wind and rain. Equipped with power outlets throughout, as well as ceiling fans and heaters for added comfort, this space allows for limitless customization. Your unique style can be expressed through an array of accessories, enhancements, and decorations. As the day transitions into evening, the Pavilion offers a spectacular setting for witnessing stunning sunset views.
SCHOOL HOUSE
Adding personal touches to the one room Schoolhouse at Oak Hill Farm is yet another way to make your wedding unique and unforgettable. Ideas include placing photos of the couple or escort cards on the desks, writing messages on the chalkboard and hosting cocktail hour on the Schoolhouse Lawn.
